TOO MUCH GARDEN BLING BLING?

Is this taking garden bling bling a little far? I love it but would I want it in my yard? If you click on this and look closely, you will find this is a false front, not a shed at all. Interesting!
Yes, we all like a little garden art here and there. For instance, statues, gazing ball, maybe a fountain. But when do you know you have gone over the line and your family is going to have you committed? There is a few little tips to help you know when you have crossed the line.

Do you have more junk than plants? Can you no longer mow the lawn but need to use a weed eater on the whole yard? When you stop and pick up things like stoves, an old sink, toilet, heater, scrap lumber, or bathtub with an eye to planting something in it...you may be over the line. When people think you are holding a garage sale and you're not, you may be over the line. When you pick up a brass bed, headboard and think it will be cute to make a "flower' bed with it...that may be the clue right there.

But take all the above with the purest of intentions. I cover bowling balls with pennies, marbles or paint them and call them garden balls and I made a huge pot-man once upon a time out of clay pots....so if it makes you happy - Seize the day, I say!

I think that shed look-alike is darling! It's very rustic and makes my imagination go wild!

I am seriouly thinking about making a smaller version as an entrance to my garden. It's in the back so garden purist driving by, wouldn't be offended. LOL

I think this is an original garden and I like originals....

I have an old Washing machine in my backyard! Redneck? Maybe, but with taste because I get lots of compliments about it. Hey, I am from Tennessee and living in Georgia, what can I say... LOL...

Eve,
Wanted to thank you for the comment you left on my site. Though after visiting your site I suspect you don't need to learn anything from me..in fact I could probably use some of your vegie growing advice. I am so jealous that you are already reaping the reward of the vegies..where are you exactly..our tomatoes are still green..I did get peas, but they are done.just started getting some beans and the cucumber, watermelon, cantaloupe are all still in the flowering stage. I've been waiting to post about my kitchen garden until I actually get something to show..thanks again for the nice comment and I have faved your site so it's easier to find in the future.

I think I have everything but a toilet in my yard...lol I haven't found one I really liked yet. Someday probably!

I have to confess that I still have a Z-bed in our garden rusting away behind the variegated holly: folded, but even so;-)

and...I have my eye on some rusty old agricultural tools my neighbouring farmer has left lying around.
