EVERY GARDEN NEEDS A WINDSOCK

A windsock or wind cone is a tube made of fabric (nylon or some type of plastic can be used also) designed to indicate the direction of the wind and, in some situations, the relative wind speed.

Windsocks are often used at airports to gauge wind direction or alongside highways at windy locations to warn of gusts and strong breezes.

At home, windsocks can be seen flying from porches and flagpoles to proclaim festive occasions or holidays.

You can buy one or make one. Yes, you can buy classy looking ones too. LOL.. If you are crafty and want to give it a try, (it is easy) here are the directions:

I think windsocks are neat at the beach. I have one that I won through a magazine. It blows in the wind by the Elephant ears making for a tropical feel to my bones!

I might have to make myself one...thinking, thinking, thinking...

Oh, the windsocks remind me of the beach too. And of kites, which remind me of the beach.
I love those instructions that you linked to - "turn the fabric to the ugly side" that cracks me up!

I have too many here, but do like the movement they bring to the garden. These are all bright and colorful.

I love the idea of a wind sock. I like the fish. My husband is a fisherman.

Even though I don't have one in my garden, I think windsocks are great!

Oh goodness, you found something I DON'T have! You've seen my jumble of things in the garden. But I don't have a windsock! I didn't even realize it until I saw this!

I don't have any windsocks, but this might make a good winter project--you know, when there aren't weeds to pull or flowers to deadhead...
Thanks for the link to the instructions.
