Aren't these wonderful? I made some of these in the early seventies and gave them as Christmas gifts. People just loved the Kissing Balls. The one in the center is from the Martha Stewart website. She gives you instructions for hers. You can also make them square like a dish. Here is the link to the website for the Kissing Balls and the other wreath and square. These are so much fun to make. Eve-We actually make living wreaths at work. They are really fun to do. I have one for sale right now that I made with all sedum.
I hope you guys are getting braced for Gustav. I will be keeping everyone on the gulf in my prayers.

I love these! Anything succulent is good during these droughts. Urgh! I am watering as we speak. I think I'll make a shallow hypertufa and fill it with the different sedums and see how that works. Thanks for the link!
Susie and country, we are getting prepared. We have Hannah and two more tropcial depressions right behind Gustav. So I don't know how many bullets we can dodge but we will leave when told to evacuate. With three cats and a dog..: )..fun in a motel room. Thank God for Motel 6 who lets us bring all our animals.

Hi Eve, that is reassuring to know that you can take your animals to the motel with you. Here's hoping that is isn't necessary to leave your home, and if it is that all will be well when you return. I have never tried those wreaths but have seen the forms for sale at Kinsmen. Those are stunning, especially on a garden gate. Thanks for showing us and we will be thinking good thoughts for you all.

Absolutely gorgeous living wreaths! I've seen these done on gardening shows, but never tried one myself. I think it would be fun to make one with sedums. :) I hope this storm doesn't hit you guys.
