I'd paint it a blueberry blue.
That just reminded me that I once had one of these, and managed to leave it at a house we sold long ago... Can't believe I did that!

This reminds me of a wishing well my Aunt and Uncle have in their yard. It was the only one I was aware of when I was a kid.
I have always wanted a wishing well and have the perfect spot picked out for one. I must first find one though!
Ops forgot to say would rather buy one then build one...
I have one. It is not painted and it is planted with an asparagas fern. I like the idea of painting it though. I got mine at Harbor Freight.
So, what color are you going to stain it? My mom had something very similar to this but she didn't garden and it looked naked and sad!

Cindee, I think we have a Harbor Freight on the other side of town. I may go take a peek and see if they have one! Thanks for the tip!
I have one of these up at my cabin in the mountains. I have it filled with flowers. I just love it. The sun seems to take a toll on it though! Make sure you weather seal the top really good!
I've always loved wishing wells; filling this with plants sounds like a great idea. I'm like Skeeter, though; I'd rather buy one--I'm all thumbs with a hammer. We don't have a Harbor Freight around here, though. What kind of store is it?
