BETTER HOMES AND GARDEN

Look what I found on the Better Homes and Garden website. I know most of you probably know about this site or may even get the magazine but have you looked at the site lately. They have a lot of things to spike your interest. I love this idea in the photo. Find a wire wastebasket of preferred height at a home store. Lightly line it with peat moss, then fill the remaining area with potting soil. Top it off with your desired plants. Here, white delphiniums look great next to a doorway.

Check out these quick videos from Better Homes And Gardens too. Starting with, "make your own stepping stones"...hanging baskets, vine suupports, etc. Each one is about a minute and a half. I think you will enjoy them.

Great tips! I'll have to try some of them out. I'm currently planting some liriope to line my driveway. If you haven't tried it out you should. It's quite beautiful.

Hey! I tried my Sweet Potato Dumpling recipe with apples and it was of of this world good!!!!! Thank you so much for the suggestion. I used Fuji apples..I figured they would be the best of what is in season now.

Beautiful photo...I love the green screen door!

I do like that idea! I will keep a lookout for a wire basket for sure. No time for magazine websites, blogs are much better-more interactive which is what I like.

Great idea! Thanks for sharing ... What do you think they do with them in the fall? Put them back in the ground?

Thanks for the info. I've never seen delphiniums that large before. My blue ones weren't half that tall.

I'll never look at wire trash cans the same way again. I think target might have the trash cans cheap. Thanks for sharing.

That looks so nice. Of course if I were to plant delphs they would never look that good.

Kim, I'm so glad it turned out well for you. Mama made apple dumplings a lot for us when we were growing up.

That's a clever idea I would never have thought of! I subscribe to BH&G, but I usually don't take time to check out magazine websites. The video on making your own stepping stones sounds interesting, though.

Enjoyed the post on the Mayfly--and I thought I never had enough time to get things done!
