TIME OFF FOR A LITTLE WHILE

Billy needs some help getting his catering business off the ground so I am taking a little time off from blogging to see what I can do to help. I'll be back soon. Smoked Ribs, smoked, pulled pork, BbQ and this delicious gumbo are on his menu. You know, MAN food. LOL

Oh Eve, all those foods sound so delicious. Sounds like football food! This weekend we were at a fall festival and had some beef brisket and pork bbq that was fantastic.
Hurry back, we'll miss you!

The Saint cooked a pot of chili on Friday and we ate on it all weekend long! Bowl of Chili, Frito Chili pie, tonight is Chili Dogs! He experimented with pulled pork in the chili and it worked right along side the stew meat and ground beef. What a hearty meaty chili for the body….

Is that chicken or fish in the gumbo?

skeeter, it is chicken and smoked sausage, gumbo with some pulled pork as a filler, and to give a more smokey flavor. He smokes the meat himself. He has a secret that (bows head and looks humble) I taught him about okra. LOL

If it is chicken, I would like a bowl please! I am not a fan of Fish in dishes. :)

Eve,

I'ld like an order of BBQ for 4, and throw in some sides! What a delicious menu. Yum! It would make my man happy to have that food on the table!

I am going to miss you! Take care and have a wonderful time with Billy.

Eve, thanks for visiting my blog and leaving your comment with kind words wishing me a speedy recovery. I have "cheated" to get back online for a while to post a few things and to visit your lovely blog once again.

Hope you are enjoying your time off....I was bored to death with my being off on sick leave!

Best regards, Jon at Mississippi Garden on 11-1-08

Hi, I'm just checking in. It's been a long time since you posted, I hope you are doing well. Brenda (View From the Pines) and I were discussing some "missing in action bloggers" and your name popped up so I thought I'd drop you a line. We miss you out here in Bloggeritaville!

I hope the Catering Biz is going great. It's been a while since you posted. I pray that it's only because you are out of the habit and nothing is wrong.

I'm updating my feeds and feel compelled to delete those that are inactive unless I hear you are coming back soonest.
