BLUE IN THE MORNING SUN

As usual, one is to dark, one is too light, and one is perfect! Guess who took the perfect one? Billy takes much better pics than I do. He says you have to do more than point and shoot. In this, I have to agree.

I got this old chair to sit a plant on but it always has a cat on it, so I just let them have it. It is their porch! How spoiled is that?

I love how the center of this morning glory looks like it contains a reflection of the entire surface of the sun. The beautiful blue looks like some expensive silk fabric. Billy took this early one morning and when I uploaded it, I couldn't believe how breathtaking it was. I just love it. Click on it to get the full effect!

What a beautiful shrub and flower. That blue is just gorgeous, and the little yellow in the middle really does a great job mimicking the sun!

It is a beautiful flower isn't it? I am just amazed at all the blooms it put out each day and still has odles of buds on it. I expect mine will bloom until frost. Picture taking can be frustrating. You think you've got a goos shot until you download it and it's fuzzy, or dark or light. It's a good thing we don't have to buy film anymore!
Thanks for visiting my site and thank you for you nice comments.

Gorgeous morning glories, Eve. I planted mine too late this year--all I have is vines. But I love your description of the center of the bloom as a mirror of the sun--a really lovely posting.

It's absolutely dazzling! I'm not surprised, though, because it has pentamerous flowers. Give Billy a pat on the back for a job well done!

I just love your morning glories! I love how they are hanging all over the chair. I was just wondering myself what kind of thing I could use to have my morning glories climb over. This year was my cucumber fence. That gives me a great idea for next years garden. I have this really old white iron chair. What do you think?! Hmmmm it's only six more months until I can plant again! LOL!!!!(if I'm lucky)

I love how that does look like sunshine right in the middle. How neat is that?! I really like that chair too.

Your invisible cat is cute wearing the camouflaged outfit while sitting in the chair... lol, I looked all over that picture for your kitty. :-)

The close up is magnificent! It looks as though you put a light behind the bloom. it is so pretty and does resemble sunshine and silk....

I snap at least 10 pictures of the same thing in order to get one good enough for a posting. LOL, Yep, thank goodness for digital and larger viewing screens now!

Your morning glories are beautiful! They remind me so much of my childhood. I guess my Poppa and Grandma had them, however, I can't for the life of me remember where they were placed in their yard. Have a GREAT weekend!

This morning glory looks just like the one I've seen at Beckie's. I'm just amazed at how large the blooms are. You've got the perfect place for it--it looks beautiful cascading down your porch railing.

I agree that morning glories shine in the middle like there's a light bulb behind them. Such a beautiful flower.

Oh, it is breathtaking! A glorious shot of a morning glory. Only once have I had as pretty a morning glory turn out as you have. And that was when I lived in New Braunfels in the early 1990s!

Thank you Pamela. But I really don't think I have the gift. I'm just loud and bossy and highly opinionated. You know that old saying about the sqeaky wheel is the one who gets the grease. So, thanks for the grease. LOL

Oh my! These are beautiful pictures!

I have always loved Morning Glories and remember them from my early childhood in Alabama. (I mentioned them in my Early memories of Mom blog on my side bar)

We don't have any growing at our place here. I wish we did!
